PERSPECTIVE OF NGOs

      TRAFFICKING AS A PROBLEM

NGOs acknowledge the fact that trafficking exists in the State and is on the rise. West Bengal is a crucial border State and the incidence of trafficking is very high. The NGOs in West Bengal are highly active in preventing trafficking and infiltration, as well as in generating awareness on trafficking. The NGOs network with the police and Government officials on a regular basis. They also network with other NGOs from within India and also from Nepal and Bangladesh to prevent trafficking.
